Alleged Drunk Driver Claims the Life of Motorcyclist
August 23, 2011
Another young life has been lost as a result of an alleged drunk driver
in Clayton County, Georgia this weekend. According to reports, Frank J.
Cassidy was on his motorcycle on his way home from work when he was struck
and killed by, Marvlyn Eugene Martin. According to reports, Martin had
a blood alcohol concentration of .192 which is more than twice the legal
limit in Georgia. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family as another
life has been lost as a result of the carelessness of another.
According to MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving)
click here, this year alone, nearly 11,000 people will die in alcohol related
car crashes, this amounts to one person every 50 minutes. What is more astounding
is that an average drunk driver has driven intoxicated more than 87 times
before the first arrest. Obviously we need to do more, to get the word
out to prevent drunk driving. The loss of one life is too many.
Attorney Todd Henningsen was recently interviewed on what to do if you
or a family member has been
injured by a drunk driver. The video of this interview is below.
