Todd Henningsen Honored in Top Georgia Verdicts of 2010

The Friday, July 29, 2011 edition of the Daily Report had a special section entitled “Top Georgia Verdicts of 2010.” The Daily Report is an industry publication for Georgia Lawyers and each year the “Top Georgia Verdicts” are published to show the results of cases from the previous year. This year’s section honored Georgia Injury Lawyer, Todd Henningsen for the results obtained in a slip and fall personal injury case against Kroger.

In that case, Mr. Henningsen’s client fell while a customer at the Kroger Store on Old National Highway in Atlanta, Georgia. As a result of the fall, the client sustained serious personal injuries and ultimately had to undergo two separate surgeries to repair a torn rotator cuff in his shoulder. Kroger was unwilling to make a fair offer on the claim and in fact offered the client only $15,000.00 to resolve his entire claim.

Mr. Henningsen rejected this offer and tried the personal injury case before a 12 person jury in Fulton County, Georgia. After hearing the evidence, the jury returned a verdict for $400,000.00. This verdict was the top verdict in Georgia in the Fall Category for 2010. For more information on this Atlanta personal injury verdict see our case results section where we go into further detail.
